This listing is for one braid: Just the Purples, a Sky Braids colorway coordinating braid. The Sky Braids collection is a series of colorways inspired by views of Colorful Colorado’s skies: sun, storm, clouds, and brightest days. Each palette groups together the hues of the skyscape, hand-painted on 4 oz. of white Polwarth wool top. Polwarth wool is next-to-the-skin soft, and also easy to spin. Professional dyes and processes ensure soft fiber, consistent colors, and highly colorfast fabrics. In addition to full-colorway braids, there are braids painted in just one or two colors of the colorway (for example: just the sky, or just the ground), giving you the option to extend the colors of your project however you like.
This braid coordinates with the Sylvan Lake Storm colorway.
Just the Purples is just that: the purples from the main braid. Since this picture was taken just before sunset, the angle of the sunlight created intense and striking colors in the storm clouds and the rain. The purples are found in the clouds, set back from the pinks, and they're more towards the blue than the red. I painted them ombre-style along the length of the braid.
