Oregon sunstone is one of those understated gems that once discovered people fall in love with immediately. The stone is very versatile, with coloring ranging from the most common champagne yellow to rarer reds and very rare greens and blues. Though sunstone can be found in different places in the world, the Oregon sunstone is unique with its copper inclusions called schiller - this is the only sunstone with this type of inclusion and it is only found in Oregon. Not all specimens will present this schiller, but those that do have an added beauty and make it that much easier to determine you have true Oregon sunstone.

For those that follow the metaphysical it is believed that Oregon sunstone is an inspiration stone. It is said it promotes good humor and happiness as well as boosting self-confidence. Many believe it is also a healing and power stone, enhancing strength and vitality and expanding creativity while clearing energy pathways, balancing stress and shining light on painful memories - allowing one to learn and let go. Lastly it is thought to amplify the power and provide clarity of energies in other stones.

Each lot is approximately 50 grams which is roughly 15 pieces or 100 grams which is about 30 pieces. The sizes, shapes and densities will all be different and will determine the total number of stones that make up the 50 or 100 grams. They will be in a 2x3m plastic bag, however if you purchase multiple lots of these chip beads, we may condense your order into a single larger bag.

Since these are mixed stones scooped randomly, I cannot guarantee any specific colors, sizes, schiller amounts or number of stone in each lot however we are also not cherry picking stones, whatever is in the mix is what could get scooped.

** NOTE **: These are truly raw stones. We have done a simple washing with water but no other treatments. There will be stones that are imbedded in matrix or still have matrix imbedded in them. There will be small pieces, there will be medium size to large pieces. There may be pieces suitable for gemstone faceting but it would probably be rare.

We are doing random pulls from stones we mined ourselves in the Plush, Oregon area so you can be sure these are genuine Oregon sunstone, even if there is no schiller. Our Black Petal shop has jewelry utilizing cut stones from other samples we've mined from the same location.

Please review the photos as they are examples of actual stones available for purchase. We did a pull of 100 grams worth of rocks to show about how many you might receive, the color, sizes and shapes involved. Since this is a representative grouping, your lot will be similar but will depend heavily on the stones that get scooped. You may get stones with schiller and/or hints of rarer colors but most will be the more common champagne

Purchases from our OOPSIE section are non-returnable/non-refundable. They are sold as-is & have some damage/inconsistencies at time of sale. Bead Mix purchases are also non-refundable due to difficulties in verifying no substitution or content loss has occurred. Return shipping fees/costs are the responsibility of the buyer and the item must be returned & received in original condition. Returns must be shipped back within 30 days of delivery date - delivery confirmation information from USPS will be used to determine the date of delivery. Upon receipt of the item we will be happy to refund your original purchase price, less all shipping/handling costs provided the item has been returned in the condition it was originally shipped.

HOLIDAY SHIPPING: To ensure delivery by Christmas 2018, purchases must be completed & funded by December 7th, 2018. Jewelry will generally be shipped in a box with internal padding, and a waterproof mailer envelope. We ship most of our jewelry and beading supplies via USPS First Class mail when going to a domestic (within the US) address. Delivery confirmation is included in the free shipping offered on all jewelry items with a list price of $75.00 or more for delivery within the United States! Signature confirmation will also be added (at no additional cost) to purchases of jewelry items, with a list price of $75.00 or more, going to a domestic (within U.S.) address to help ensure proper delivery. All other items being shipped to a domestic (within the US) address will also go via USPS First Class, but do not qualify for free shipping rates.

International shipping -- International shipping prices are for USPS First Class International Mail and do not include delivery confirmation/tracking or insurance. Once the package has left my hands I have little control over it. This is especially true when shipping internationally. Buyers are responsible for all customs, duties, taxes, levies, VAT or fees. Please be aware that VAT/TAXES are NOT included in the price of my items and are the responsibility of the purchaser. PLEASE NOTE: Per U.S. and Int'l government regulations, I can't mark purchases as gifts and must declare the actual value. ScoSiCa is not responsible for items that become held up in Customs.

If you let me know prior to it shipping, no problem but we can't remake, reship or refund when an incorrect addresses given during check out and the item is confirmed as delivered. If your package comes back to us for some reason then you must pay the additional shipping cost to have it shipped back to the new and corrected address. It can take as many as 60 days for an item to be returned by the Postal Service if an incorrect address has been provided. If an incomplete address is caught by us at time of purchase we will reach out via Etsy convo to get a correct address and give a deadline for response (usually 4 or 5 days). If no response is received by that date, the order will be canceled/refunded and you will need to reorder.
