Beautifully banded matching pair in bands of rich violets and pink. One cab ever so slightly tapers down from 5mm at the top to 4.5mm at the bottom.
Coyamito cabs of this high quality are hard to find.
This material is extremely hard to find as I've been told the mine has now been almost played out.
Polished to a mirror finish on three sides; the back is flat and unpolished.
Coyamito Agate is mined near the well known Laguna Agate mine in Chihuahua, Mexico. Rancho Coyamite, the namesake, is home to multiple deposits. Distinguished for their vibrant colors of reds, oranges, violets, and blues, Coyamito Agate cabochons may also show areas of translucent windows.
Coyamito Agate is a member of the chalcedony family, or a microcrystalline quartz, giving it a MOHS hardness of 7.
Thanks for looking :-)
