Item details

A gift to give to family and friends or something special for yourself. We often forget to get an occasional gift for us. Buy ahead of the holiday season and avoid shopping crowds.

A complete kit to make your needle felting adventure successful. Learn an art and create an original pumpkin. This will be the start of a life long talent.

Who doesn't like a pumpkin! Whether we eat them, decorate with them, or make the felted kind, pumpkins are just a part of Americana and very popular. You can create two, approximately 7 1/2 inch circumference, pumpkins with this kit and learn an ever popular art known as needle felting. Join the ever growing population of needle felters. Look through my "sold" listings to see the many different pumpkins I have made and sold.

The kit contains:

1 felting pad - 5" x 5" x 1 1/2"
2 - #38 star felting needles, dipped red for color coding
2 - #40 felting needles, dipped yellow for color coding
Detailed instructions with many photos, 2 pages
White core wool - enough to easily make 2 pumpkins
Corriedale Marigold Wool - enough to easily make 2 pumpkins
Merino wool in several colors for shading
Suffolk wool for the stem
Corriedale wool for the tendril

The instructions are for the pumpkin photo on the kit box. I also include instructions on making the stem and the tendril. The instructions are very detailed with a total of 20 photos to show each step. While your pumpkin may not resemble mine exactly you will have created your own work of art. No two people felt alike. Should you need any help I can be reached by email (on the instructions) and would be glad to get you going in the right direction. As with all new endeavors, there is a learning curve. It will be easier for some and more difficult for others. So, if you need a little more help, don't hesitate to contact me.

This kit is for the beginning to intermediate needle felter. An excellent gift for you or a friend. Not, however, recommended for children as the needles are very sharp. I have pumpkins of various colors in my personal collection and decorate my house all year round with my wool creations. So, get in on the fun or buy the perfect, unique gift for a friend.
