Item details

A really cool, vintage Speedex Star-Lite Sub-miniature Camera with its carry case. Made in the 1950’s, this fantastic little spy camera is barely two inches across. Equipped with a very simple single speed shutter, it was loaded just like a full sized camera and designed to use tiny rolls of film that shot 10, miniature 14mm micro photos using film made specifically for these cameras. The film is very hard to come by, so this is more of a conversation piece than an actual, usable camera, however it does have one roll inside. Originally sold for only 52¢ each, this is a fun piece of 1950’s nostalgia to display on a shelf or make your friends think you’re a real spy.

The camera measures just 2” across and is 1.5” high. Good, vintage condition for its age. It shows some light signs of wear. The case looks good but does have a bit of wear and the tiny buckle is missing.

All in all, this is a great piece to wow your friends and family. It would make a cool gift for a spy gear loving friend or display it on a shelf in a den or office to give a bit of 50’s intrigue.

Please keep in mind that all my items are vintage and not new. They've been used and loved by previous owners. I do my very best to photograph and describe your future treasure. If you have any questions, feel free to convo me.

FAQs

My entire life I've been a collector. Not of one type of thing that fills a shelf, but of everything. Small to big, I collect it all. I scour estate sales and flea markets every week to find the items I love. When I start to feel like my home is closing in on me, I pass my finds on to my customers. I only buy what I love and love what I buy and hope, when it's time for them to go, that someone, like you, will love them as much as I do.

Well, mostly that depends on the type of shipping chosen when an item is purchased. I offer several options from slow boat to overnight, so you get your treasures when you want them at a shipping cost that's right for you. I can tell you though, when I hear the ding on my phone or computer, that special sound, that means I have a sale, I jump into action. Most of the time I get your item packed up and out to post within a few hours or the next business day, Monday if it was purchased on the weekend. Speed in delivery is very important to me.

Because I sell vintage items, they are sold as is. Since most items have been previously used over time, they may show signs of wear. I make every effort to describe and photograph each item and give the most information possible. If you have questions or would like more photos, feel free to convo me. I'll be glad to help. Returns on vintage items are unusual, and will be dealt with on a one on one basis. If an item has arrived damaged, please let me know within 3 days of receiving the item and keep all packaging for insurance claims. My customers happiness is my highest priority.
