These bones have been boiled clean but NOT BLEACHED or whitened.
My camera was giving me some trouble but the FIRST picture shows the true color, they are a yellow ivory rather than bright white. The other pictures show the shape of them and give an idea of the sizes of them.
If you like your bones brighter then a mild solution of hydrogen peroxide will whiten them nicely, I just like bones more bone colored so never bother with that step.
The turtle was legally harvested and we enjoyed it very much indeed, not a scrap was wasted but when it came to the bones they were just too neat to give to the dogs, the shapes of them are just pure cool.
Each time I count them I get either 29 or 30 bones so I have said there are 25 just to be on the safe side.
