**100% Colorado Alpaca Yarn from Responsible Farms**
BUY DIRECTLY FROM THE ALPACA FARMER. All of our products are from our own animals or our friends' farms in Northern Colorado. We care about our animals and know them all by name - we believe you should too! Our yarns come with information about the animal's name, breed, and location. Your finished piece that you knit, crochet, weave, etc. will tell a story. We believe that knowing the animal who provided the fiber is an important part of that story.
Dewdrop is a beautiful chocolate brown suri alpaca with very soft suri fiber. Suri fiber is so slick on its own, we often blend with either huacaya alpaca or merino wool. In this case, Dewdrop's fiber was blended with 30% huacaya alpaca black fiber from Tristan to add strength as it was spun into a 2-ply yarn. Tristan is award-winning for his soft fleece. The resulting yarn is light and soft – while at the same time proving the warmth of alpaca. Perfect for your knitting projects and making that unique gift.
A little bit more about the animals. Dewdrop and Tristan are both from a beautiful farm outside of Fort Collins, Colorado. They love their mountain view and freely snacking on grass in the pasture. After shearing their fleece, we then clean the fiber and process with our friends at a Colorado mill who spin the yarn into a 2-ply fingering weight. Each part of our process involves a small business/farm in Colorado bringing you a fully MADE IN AMERICA product and Colorado Proud participant.
