This old hog scraper has a metal disk and a wooden handle that was used to scrape bristles off a hog, and would certainly come in handy if you had a hog that needed its bristles scraped off. On the other hand, this is an interesting old piece that has a wood handle with a warm patina and the darkened metal that only old things really have. This is a sturdy, long surviving item that would add a touch of authentic rustic, farmhouse charm to your home, and would be a conversation piece, starting with "What is that be thing....?"
This piece is old, the wood has darkened with age and use, but there are no dings or dents. The metal has darkened and oxidized over time.
It stands 5 " tall, and the metal base has a 3 3/4" diameter.

I do my best to describe and photograph items as accurately as possible. Please note that vintage items are previously owned, often old, time worn and almost never perfect. They may be weathered, dinged or a bit frayed....I will try to point these "flaws" out in the descriptions and photos.
I love the things I am selling, and I want you to feel the same way. Please don't hesitate to e-mail me with any questions that you might have. I will get back to you as soon as possible.
