This is an early 20th-century (circa 1910) Edwardian English double folding penknife.Real mother of pearl panels on both sides. Original high carbon antique steel blades.Stamped "Harrison Bros & Howson...Cutlers to His Majesty..."The blades are still thick and strong (not flimsy).Free from personal inscriptions or monograms.Carbon steel, which unlike stainless steel, can be ground to a very sharp cutting edge. Early/antique folding knives were made using carbon steel.DIMENSION: Length : CLOSED 6.4cm (2 1/2").
