How many sewers out there have stuck pins in their shirts because they didn't have a pincushion handy? Here's a practical and fashionable solution! This pint sized pincushion is multi-talented. Wear it as a piece of jewelry, then when you need a place to park that pin, you won't have to use yourself as the pincushion. Or maybe you are tired of your large pincushion eating your needles?
• Put it on your sleeve when sitting at your machine. • Wear it on your jacket when you are stuck at a sporting event. • Attach it to your large pincushion to hold your needles or specialty pins. • Use it as an accessory to hold your nametag when you are at Guild. • Pin it to the visor in your car for those times when you are waiting on the kids.
This pincushion is 2" across and 1" deep. It is made from felted wool and the insides include crushed walnut shells at the top and fiberfill at the bottom to pack it tight. It is tied with cotton embroidery floss and topped with a pretty button from my button jar. It has a safety pin sewn to the back so you can attach it anywhere you want.
Or find the pincushion pattern in this Etsy store and make as many as you want for yourself and your friends.
