Item details

Card / Inkle / Tablet weaving loom - 100 percent African Mahogany/maple/walnut, complete with hardwood matching dowels. This loom has a double tension system, with two long bars used as part of the tensioning system. This double tension system gives the weaver a much larger range of motion - allowing greater movement of the warp for a correct tension while weaving. This is particularly important while card weaving, as there is a fairly large take-up and without the additional tension bar, makeshift forms of warp adjustment are required. The finish one the loom is a simple linseed oil wipe. The Linseed oil both feeds the wood, and brings out the natural beauty of the wood. There will be no wood stain to affect your warp.

This loom will allow bands of up to approximately 3 inches in width to be woven - more if you choose the inkle method! The warp length is variable depending on what you choose to warp, with a maximum length of 22 yards (complete ward as a 1 yard take up).

This loom includes the following:
1. 100 percent Cherry, Maple, African Mahogany or Walnut loom
2. 100 percent beater of the same wood as loom beater
3. Complete how to card weave instructions

These looms are made to order, just let me know what you are looking for - I am happy to add extras like the dragon heads as shown on the Walnut loom for just a bit more!

Thanks!
