ABOUT SWAROVSKI® COMPONENTS/BEADS:
Swarovski® crystal was invented by Daniel Swarovski in 1892-1895 in Bohemia. They are made from the finest crystal glass, cut and ground with such precision that they sparkle as brilliantly as diamonds. They have a weight and style that sets them apart from normal beads. Swarovski® uses only high lead content crystal glass, typically a full 34% of the glass is lead or lead oxide. The presence of the lead increases the index of refraction, bringing it closer to that of a diamond. The sparkle comes from the light bouncing off internal surfaces in the lead crystal. This is why lead glass beads have an attractive sparkle and a heavier weight than cheaper forms of glass. Swarovski® are simply the best crystal beads!

SPECIAL EFFECTS:
The AB (aurore boreale/aurora borealis) effect/finish/coating is a coating of wafer thin metal particles on a selected side of the crystal/s in order to increase their color and sparkle. It is an extremely gorgeous multi-dimensional coating that incorporates all the colors of the rainbow - from purples to greens to pinks to blues! The coating shines these array of colors based upon how much light hits the surface of the crystal/s and where. These crystals are a must have for any designer! Be advised that the photo could be darker than the actual crystal/s by several shades.
