Item details

Original H. Marshall Gardiner post card from the 1930's.
"Nantuckrome" Published by the Photochrome Process Company,
divided back, unused, mint condition.

"The Allen Gurney made her last trip to Nantucket with a cargo of coal in 1920. She was subsequently deemed unfit for further coastal work and was acquired by some Nantucket ladies who, in1921, turned her into a tea room and restaurant. Hauled into this location she was called "The Skipper" and became a long time familiar part of the waterfront."
