Item details

Little Mim has a brand new shiny button and can hold all your daily essentials. Peek inside and see a pocket for phone, keys, and little doodads. The body of the bag is fully lined with inside pocket and measures 28cm by 29.5cm (11" by 11.5"). The handles are roomy enough to put the bag on your shoulder (height of 24cm from top of bag – 9.5”). I've found that I can fit my 10" netbook inside in its case and still have more than enough room for my wallet, keys, and phone - what a little tardis!

This bag can be made in very little time (under 2 hours for someone who has sewn before) and with very little fabric. If you have a basic plain fabric on hand, all you need is a scrap of something fancy for the contrast on the front, and then a button or a bit of ribbon or felt from your stash – see what you have and get creative. There’s so little you need on hand and it takes so little time, it really is the perfect last minute gift. One of these Mim Bags with three of the Supermarket Checkout Bags rolled up inside makes a nice little set to take out to do the groceries.

Materials: 36cm (14”) of a plain light weight fabric, 36cm (14”) of a similar weight fabric with a pattern, 36cm (14”) in a lining fabric, and a cute button or other embellishment of your choice. Some ideas and tips are given for embellishments. All seam allowances have been included in the pattern pieces and are ¼” unless otherwise stated.

The pattern is supplied to you as two PDF files. One containing the instructions with colour pictures and tips to get you through. The other is a printer friendly file for the pattern itself. All pattern pieces have been carefully and accurately hand drawn with plenty of easy to read labelling. Just print on A4 or US Letter size paper and sticky tape the sheets together at the edges. These files are now available for instant digital download but I am still available to assist you at teapotandsnail [!at] gmail.com.

I am happy for you to sell your finished bags on Etsy as long as you credit Teapot & Snail as the designer on your page and do not mass produce the bag.

Great pattern and very fun! Loved the suggestion of using a fabric yo-yo! It worked perfectly.
