This is a new version of my jellyfish craft. This kit is designed for children 5+ and will require minimal adult assistance. It is a fanciful jellyfish that hangs from fishline, making it appear to float. It is constructed from a plastic bowl, with hanging ribbons and yarn for "legs" (Do jellyfish have legs?) Your child will decorate the plastic dome with adhesive foam shapes and add wiggle eyes. Then you will help them thread the legs through the hole at the top and the yarn through the holes around the edges. An adult then can knot the fishline and hang your jellyfish. You will not need any paint, glue, or scissors to make your jellyfish.
The colorways will vary, but all are quite cute. This is a craft that the boys seem to really like.
I created this jellyfish for an undersea themed birthday party, and we hung them from the chandelier over the table, as the kids completed them. It was an adorable effect with 12 jellyfish floating above us as we had cake.
As always, I'll include a coloring page and a book suggestion.
