This is a simple kids craft kit to make a XYLOPHONE. The bars and keys are constructed from two weights of foam, and go together with paper fasteners. It is a good way to reinforce not only the letter X, but color, size, and order as well as the musical scale. The assembly does not require scissors, glue or paint and takes minimal manual dexterity. I would think 5+crafters could handle it with some adult supervision, due to the paper fasteners. The stick are made from wooden dowels and fuzzy beads.
I'll include assembly directions, a coloring page and a book suggestion. It might be fun to download a YouTube video so that your child can hear the sound that the xylophone makes, and "play" along.
I hope you will try my craft kits for young crafters. They are perfect for preschoolers, homeschoolers, playgroups, parties and one-on-one interaction.
