Item details

This Regency era pattern was created by me, Deb Salisbury, owner of The Mantua-Maker Historical Sewing Patterns.
This pattern includes 4 pages of instructions with historical tips, and 2 pattern sheets. They are printed on bond paper, and enclosed in a white paper envelope. All sizes Petite – X-large are included. Bust: 32" to 52"

An over-robe, in this case a transparent over garment, was a fashionable accessory for evening or walking wear. Made of gauze or sarcenet, it often had an embroidered or painted border. The garment developed into the pelisse, an outdoor jacket. Robes of silk brocade or jacquard with long trains might be worn to court as late as the 1820’s. It can be made in various lengths, and it may be rounded or square in front.

Please read all instructions before touching your fabric. There are tips along the way to make your life easier!

Thank you for looking at my patterns!

FYI 1 - All instructions are in English.

FYI 2 - I do have a cat (allergy warning; my cat has such fine fur I find stray hairs in places he could *never* get to!) but he has little contact with my patterns. My home is smoke-free, but vintage books and trim may carry their own distinctive odors.
