Serafina is a “stump” doll designed for woven or knit fabric. Stump dolls have a flat base and no legs. Serafina is approximately 15 inches tall, and is intended to be a decorative piece, not a toy.
Her face is sculpted, with an optional cloth-over technique to soften the look and eliminate the center seam. Two types of hand/arm templates are provided – one with individual fingers, and an easier mitt hand with stitched finger divisions. Both use chenille stem armature so the fingers can be posed. A variety of fibers can be used for her hair. Her robe is a very simple design, that can be embellished in a number of creative ways.
One of the unique features of this pattern is the DIY angel wings. Complete instructions and template included.
Listing is for the pattern only, not the completed doll. For intermediate skill levels.
