Item details

A wonderful vintage Coca Cola advertising toy. This pop gun was produced in 1954 by Spotswood Spec. Co. for Coca Cola. The cardboard pop gun has a piece of paper on the inside with graphics of a smiling clown that pops out to make the sound effect. The instructions on the inside paper reads: "Don't grasp handle tightly -- Swoop downward to produce explosion. If paper snap breaks, cut another same shape and paste on."

It looks like the toy was scarcely used, if at all, since the piece of snap paper is still in very good condition. However, the one edge where the paper is adhered to the cardboard frame appears somewhat weak from paper loss, so I wouldn't recommend using the pop gun for fear of breaking the paper snap (see last photo). The cardboard exterior is still in very good condition, but does have some light creasing near the handle. The pop gun measures approximately 8 inches in length. This is such a fun and unique piece that would be the perfect addition to any Coca Cola collection.

The pop gun will ship secured via USPS First-Class Mail.
