Use this knitting pattern and wonderful self-patterning sock wool to make a pair of unusual fingerless mittens in which the spiralling stitch perfectly complements the stripes of your wool
The pattern is sized to fit medium ladies hand (size 7). Circumference: approx. 17.5 - 18.5 cm. Length: approximately 21 cm.
You will need - 1 x 100g ball (approximately 420 metres) of self patterning 4ply sock wool. - A set of 4 Double Pointed Needles size 2.25mm - or size needed to get 30 stitches x 42 rows in stocking stitch = 10 x 10 cm. If you prefer you may substitute a 2.25mm circular needle - a cable length of at least 60cm is recommended. - a small stitch holder (or safety pin) - 2 stitch markers - a darning needle to weave in ends when finishing the mitts.
