Item details

Vineyard Vest is a super easy project to work up in any type of yarn. The greatest thing about it is that the pattern helps create the shaping so there is no need to decrease or increase as you work the pattern.

The dainty pattern in the vest allows you several options when it comes to closing the vest. You can use a button, shawl pin or ribbon. This would be a perfect project for Lace weight yarns, sock weight yarns or even DK weight yarns. In fact with a swatch and a little math you have the ability to use any yarn from thick to thin. Just simply swatch the pattern in the yarn and needles you wish then, calculate the number of repeats needed across to obtain the size you want.

Materials Needed:
Size 7 (4.5 mm) straight knitting needles
4 (5, 6 ) Balls of OnLine Linie 164 Java 67% cotton, 33% Viscose-Rayon
Darning Needle
Stitch Marker to indicate sections of lace if desired.

M5 sts in one -(k1 yo k1 yo k1) in one stitch
YO—Yarn Over
K2tog -Knit two stitches together as one stitch
Ssk -Slip one stitch as if to knit, Slip another stitch as if to knit. Insert left-hand needle into front of these 2 stitches and knit them together
K3tog -Knit three stitches together as one

Sizes—This pattern allows multiple sizes to fit into one because of the ribbing and stretch within the lace. To find the perfect fit choose a size closes to yours . For example if you are a 38 your may want to choose the 36, if your size is 45 select the 42 for a closer fit or the 52 for a slightly more comfy fit.
Sizes— 36/38 ( 42/44, 52/54) inches

20 sts and 25 rows on size 7 (4.5mm) equals 4 inches
