Ceramic Tile -- Handmade -- 2" x 6" Lozenge Border Relief Tile -- MADE TO ORDER
This listing is for a sample tile of the Lozenge Border tile. The tile measures 2” x 6” and is about 1/2” thick. The pattern is reminiscent of carved wood moldings and has a traditional look. It works well in kitchens, bathrooms and even as an accent around a fireplace.
Each tile is handmade in our original design molds using earthenware clay slip. Turned out of the mold, the tiles air dry for 2-3 days before we trim them and make sure they are flat and square. The tiles are then bisque fired at close to 2000 degrees. The bisque fired tiles will be glazed in your choice of glaze color and fired a second time.
We've shown a few of the glazes we offer in our third and fourth listing photos:
Third photo: Top row, L to R: Wild Honey / Iron Ore / Hot Red
Middle row, L toR: Olive Matte / Pumpkin Spice / Amber
Bottom row, L to R: Maroon / Sea Spray / French Blue
Fourth photo, clockwise from top left: Amber, Oyster Shell, Yadro, Sea Spray
You may also wish to check our other product listings for additional glaze colors. Please be aware that neither a camera nor a computer monitor is completely accurate in capturing the glaze colors. We strongly suggest that you either order a sample lozenge tile in the color you are considering or order a couple sample glaze tiles from which to choose a color. You may also want to contact us if you need a color that isn't represented in our regular item listings. There are hundreds of glazes to choose from and we would be happy to help you find the right one for your project.
For sample glaze tiles, just e-mail us with the colors you'd like to see and we will set up a custom listing for you. Each sample is $2.50. Shipping is $2.50 for one tile and $.50 for each additional tile. You may also send us a paint, fabric or other sample that will give us an idea of what you are looking for.
This listing is for a sample lozenge tile in the color of your choice. Indicate which color you would like in the message section of the order form. Allow about two weeks for your tile to be glazed, fired and shipped.
Once you are sure of the color you'd like, we'll be happy to set up a custom listing for the number of tiles you need. Please allow 3-4 weeks for completion of your order.
