Item details

This is a lovely skein of merino yarn, handspun and handdyed by me in soft indigo shades. Merino wool is well known as a particularly soft fibre, definitely suitable for garments worn next to the skin and for baby clothes. I dyed the fibre unevenly to give a range of violet tones using professional quality acid dyes.

This is a single ply bulky weight yarn, handspun on my Ashford Joy in my Edinburgh studio (well, living room...). A little bit thick and thin, but by no means an "art yarn". This would be a lovely gift for a knitter or a well deserved treat for yourself.

This fantastically soft skein weighs around 70g and is approximately 130m in length. It'd knit up beautifully on 6-8mm/US10-11 needles, and is enough for a hat or pair of mittens. Colours may vary very slightly from the colours on your monitor. Hand wash cold only, this yarn will felt and colours may bleed slightly for the first few washes.
