Item details

This type of corset busk was used to keep the front of a back-opening corset or stays upright and stiff. It fits my Renaissance Quilted Pair of Bodies, my Georgian Stays, and my Regency Corset.

The hardwood busk is approximately 14” long, 1/8” thick, 1 3/4” wide at the top, and 1 1/8” wide at the bottom. All dimensions vary slightly. Brought to you by The Mantua-Maker Historical Sewing Patterns.

I include one page of historical information with your busk. I didn’t make the busk, only the information sheet. My supplier didn’t tell me what type of wood it is – I suspect that varies with the batch.

-- If I can ship multiple-item orders cheaper than my posted rates, I'll refund any excess postage over $1.00.

Thank you for looking at my patterns!

Great product and seller! This is my second time purchasing this product to use in my Renaissance costuming. I highly recommend it for that much desired smooth front line.

FYI 1 - All instructions are in English.

FYI 2 - I do have a cat (allergy warning; my cat has such fine fur I find stray hairs in places he could *never* get to!) but he has little contact with my patterns. My home is smoke-free, but vintage books and trim may carry their own distinctive odors.
