This photo tutorial shows how to crochet a cable and graft its ends together to form a continuous cable with no obvious beginning or end. The 13-page tutorial contains two lessons, each of which give illustrated instructions for making a small project. The first lesson demonstrates a tubular cable (a wrist cuff), and the second lesson demonstrates making a flat circular motif, with two edging options. Each project uses a small amount of worsted-weight yarn, a size H crochet hook and a yarn needle.
I developed this technique when I was designing a Celtic knotwork doily, and wanted to incorporate a cable around the circumference of the knotwork. I have not seen this done elsewhere, and thought I would share the technique with others.
