Item details

The lacy pattern of this Daun Leaf brass keyhole escutcheon will add plenty of old world charm to your chosen project, whether it's home decor, scrapbooking, or some kind of assemblage.

Daun is leaf in Bahasa Indonesia, the language of Indonesia, where this vertical piece is made. It has a 2mm hole at either end through which you can attach it to your project using screws or brads (not included).

It looks a little more copper coloured in the photo than it actually is. It's more of a traditional brass colour and has quite a rough and rustic finish.

You can use it on the cover of an altered book or an off the page project, or you can adapt it for steampunk jewellery or assemblages. Of course you can always use it for the purpose it was intended too.

PayPal is my preferred method of payment.

Shipping: This item will ship from Bali, Indonesia, via registered post with a tracking number, and you will almost certainly need to sign for it upon delivery. I generally ship more speedily than the 3-5 days listed in my shipping profile but sometimes need more leeway if it's rainy season. I refund on postage overpayments in excess of $1.

If you've been to Bali, chances are you've woken to the sounds of sweeping outside your room.

In every hotel, in every household, and every temple, a whole lot of sweeping goes on each day.

At first light, and often times through the day. Sweeping, sweeping, sweeping. There are always leaves and offerings to be cleared away. It's part of the hypnotic rhythm of the day.

Sweeping the Backyard Garden
by Sukasah Syahdan (one of only a few Indonesia poets writing in English)

heatbeats of fallen flowers
breaths of leaves decaying
they aren't dead – just transforming

I want to tell a BIG THANKS! So great thing I received and I was so happy!!! ^__^ This keyhole became a central element in my new beads, that I did for "Battle of the Beadsmith". http://zuzuka-zero.livejournal.com/44283.html
