Item details

One packet of 3-4 listed varieties: Detroit Dark(or Early Wonder), Chioggia, and Golden Beets. All are best sellers here in my garden, and for good reason! Home grown beets are extremely sweet, nutritious, and flavorful.

CHIOGGIA BEETS:Pre-1840 Italian heirloom beet. They have light red skin and beautiful rings inside, like red and white candy stripes. The flesh is very tender, mild and sweet. Named after a fishing town in Italy. Very popular.

GOLDEN BEETS:This variety dates back to the 1820s or before. The beets are a rich, golden-yellow and are very sweet. A beautiful beet that won't bleed like red beets. The greens are also very tasty. A favorite of many. If you haven’t tried home grown beets, this is the perfect time to give them a try.

DETROIT DARK: Everyone's favorite garden staple variety. Deep purple, sweet, rich roots.

EARLY WONDER: Delicious flavor both in greens and root, Early Wonder is the perfect basic deep purple beet, has rich flavor, is the most cold tolerant, and it happens to be the earliest to mature!

Days to Germinate: 5-10 Full Sun
Days to Harvest: 55 Cold Winter Areas: May-June

We do our best to ensure your order's safe and timely arrival. I can always provide proof that your order was shipped and the manner of which it was shipped. Due to large volume of sales during the growing season, I cannot always automatically provide a tracking number on United States orders. It is just too time consuming. I will however gladly send that info. along to you upon request within 48 hours. Sooner if time allows.
As far as International packages, the USPS does not offer a reasonably priced tracking system for those packages so you are ordering at your own risk. I can prove I send your package, I cannot guarantee they will make it to you through your countries customs. In the event that your order does not arrive, I will gladly refund the purchase price of the seeds, but not the actual shipping charges. PLEASE check your countries own policies on bringing foreign seeds into your homeland. There are countries that do not allow seeds and plants in.

***SHIPPING TO WORK ADDRESSES: I prefer not to ship to a person;s work address as more times than not, the packages are returned to me as undeliverable. If a package is returned to me from a work address or an old address you forgot to change, I will kindly ask you to cover the additional charges of re-sending your package.

Taxes are included. If there is a delay in your payment such as an echeck, we will hold your order until said payment has been cleared.
We prefer Credit Card and Paypal as to process your order without delay.

**If we sell out of something you order, we will notify you as soon as the issue is detected. I may even make a comparable suggestion, a favorite variety of mine. Never a variety I think may not be suitable to your area or of lesser quality. We will give you the option of choosing something else or obtaining a refund. If we do not hear back from you within 48 hours we will issue the refund and send the remainder your order.

Returns & exchanges

Seeds and plants are living organisms and therefore no returns are accepted. I take great pride in ensuring the viability and vigor of my seeds and plants. Once they leave my hands I cannot be held responsible for the condition they arrive in. That is why I ship the plants Priority. To ensure the best care and speedy delivery by the postal service. The plants are also covered by $50 insurance through the USPS. If you have issues with your plants arriving in less than desirable condition, please contact the post office for a full refund. That is why I pay the extra charge for Priority shipping, for your protection.
I do take extra measures to store my seeds properly for maximum shelf life. I grow my plants with extra living care that big nurseries simply cannot do in a mass production scenario. My local customers love the quality of my plants and rave at their better production and vigor.

Additional policies

Custom orders are always gladly accepted.
Our seeds are germination tested twice a year for viability as per the requirements set forth by the USDA. Seeds must test at 75% germination or higher to be deemed viable.
