Returns & exchanges
We carefully describe and photograph our items for you. Vintage items may bear flaws due to age and wear, but these contribute to the charm of a vintage piece. Please read our descriptions and be sure to convo us with any questions you may have.
If you are not happy with your purchase, you have four (4) days, upon arrival, to contact us to discuss the issue. To accept a return the item must be unused (if applicable) and in the condition as it was shipped. Valuable and delicate items may require shipping insurance and if the problem is due to a shipping error, we will file a claim with the shipper. Refunds will be minus fees and shipping (unless it is due to our error) and return shipping will be at your cost. Refunds will be issued upon arrival of item.
If we have made an error, ahem!, we will of course, refund the cost of your item plus shipping upon the return of the item in the same condition as it was sent to you.
We look forward to discussing special orders, wholesale or consignment with you as it comes up.
Foxing is a term describing the age-related spots and browning seen on vintage paper documents such as books, postage stamps, certificates, and so forth. The name may derive from the fox-like reddish-brown color of the stains, or the rust chemical ferric oxide which may be involved. Paper so affected is said to be "foxed."
Foxing does not affect the actual integrity of the paper. Vintage books may have foxing, but this does not affect the quality and is not the same as mold. Mold is grey and has a fuzzy texture and will affect the quality of the paper.
