Want to look like you just stepped out of the pages of a Jane Austen novel? Want something totally unique that you create yourself? This kit contains everything you need to make your own Regency era poke bonnet. Although it was designed with the English Regency in mind, this bonnet would also make a lovely accompaniment for an early Victorian or American Civil War costume.

Start by sizing the gold brim to fit your head. Then gather a piece of rich black brocade with gold accents to make a soft crown. Add a decorative black and gold braid, black satin around the edge of the brim and finish it off with gold grosgrain ribbons and a removable bow and feather accent for a totally custom bonnet that you made entirely yourself. Step-by-step instructions are easy to follow, and no machine sewing and very little hand sewing is required. Add your own flowers or embellishments to make it even more unique. It would look especially nice when trimmed with one of my bee brooches.

NOTE: In order to cut shipping costs, the brim is rolled to fit in a smaller box. Please open as soon as it arrives and allow the brim a day or so to flatten out.

I accept returns. Please contact me before sending an item back. Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value. There is a 50% restocking fee for returns on custom made items. There is a 25% restocking fee for costume items purchased during September and October and returned after Halloween. Refunds will be issued to the account which made the purchase.

I can ship to any country, but it is the buyer's responsibility to find out about any fees, import taxes, or regulations regarding importing (this especially applies to feathers). I do not know the laws or import fees for each county and can't be held responsible for policies set by your government.

Sometimes packages are held at local post offices and customers must pick them up in person and pay an import tax. This varies by country. Sometimes your post office notifies you and sometimes they don't. I have no control over this and can't help if your post office holds your package or charges a fee.

Priority Mail and Express Mail (both domestic and international) include insurance. First Class Mail (both domestic and international) does not. If you are worried that your package may not arrive safely, please choose a mail option with insurance. I am not responsible for lost packages once they have been accepted by the US Postal Service.
