Item details

Honey locust trees can reach heights of 100 feet, and are biennial in nature, bearing heavy crops every other year. The wood from the Honey Locust is favored for making top quality bows. These beautiful Pods measure approx. 6-7” and have an average width of 1”. They are a rich brown/mahogany color. The pods are dried, and you can hear the seeds rattle inside. Honey Locust pods are a useful tool to attract and welcome the Fae as they are cautious, wary little creatures, and love safe places to hide. Mighty thorns from this tree create a tangible, impenetrable fortress and also protect fairy clearings. It derives the "Honey" in its name from the sweet taste of the legume pulp, which was used for food by Native American people, and can also be fermented to make beer. The dark brown, tannin-rich beans are packed with protein (up to 14%) and the pods pods contain up to 42% carbohydrates. The pods are precious to all kinds of wildlife and are also eaten by livestock, including horses, cattle and pigs, as well as squirrels, rabbits, deer and birds.

(*Please Note: Young, tender pods can be eaten if properly cooked, but I do not recommend these dried ones for consumption by humans or animals.)

The fragrant springtime flowers from this tree are intoxicating to bees. Fairies share the same habitat as hummingbirds, butterflies, and bees. Trees that attract these creatures will also attract Fairies. Some of the pod tips actually resemble wings. They can also be used in spells that deal with beauty and physical appearances. You will receive the same ones pictured.

These beautiful pods will add an exotic flare to dried or fresh floral arrangements, are ideal for wall pockets (see photo), wall hangings, mobiles or craft projects. (Wall pocket is not included).

Selenite is very attractive to the Fae and a FREE crystal wand with silken pouch is included at no additional charge.

The word Selenite comes from the Greek “selenites”, meaning “moon stone” with the root word “Selene” meaning “Moon”. The mineral Selenite beams a beautiful sheen which glows and resembles the moon. It rates only a 2 on the Moe's scale of hardness (1-10), however, en masse, it is virtually bulletproof. High-powered chisels can only break the surface easily, but not very deep with only one stroke, hence it’s shielding power. It is also used to enhance strength in cements and has been used in bullet-proof vests. When any light is shone through the crystal, it is transmitted the full length of the crystal, not just a section of it. The structure is linear, and cleaved into tiny natural wands. Activates the Third Eye, Crown Chakra and the Soul Star Chakra above the head and a wonderful tool for fairy magick.

If you are interested in larger quantities or specific sizes, kindly let me know. Sold as curio. There is a price break for larger quantities. Thanks for visiting.
