Item details

A 8" x 8" Morris frame in the Mission style. Solid fumed quarter-sawn white oak 1-3/4" wide and 3/4" thick with a 9/16" rabbet.

A true Arts & Craft period style picture frame. The molding is made from solid American White Oak that is specially quarter-sawn, traditionally fumed and then hand finished to exacting museum quality historical stains and finish. Great with Motawi and other Tiles.

To figure out outer dimensions add the width to the frame size. For example 6x6 Roycroft Frame with 3” wide would have outer dimensions of 9x9.

*Hand finished with only the finest materials. Made in America in the Great Lakes region. Using only true Arts & Crafts period authentic craftsmanship.

**Comes in the Burnished Ginkgo (Med - slightly more red - top frame in corners photo) or Mackintosh Oak (darker).

***Comes with hardware for hanging and mounting a tile, or chose the glass and backer option of a picture or print.

We have some frames in stock and can ship right away, but most frames have to be made from scratch - it take up to 5-7 bus. days to make, plus shipping. If you need right away please ask! :-)

We take pride in the fact that our frames are built using sustainable and environmentally-friendly materials. The lumber we use for our frames is mostly Oak, Poplar and some Alder, both species of trees are fast-growing and replenish themselves quickly. Also, our vintage finishes are created using high-grade water-based lacquers and either very low or zero V.O.C.

In addition to being environmentally-friendly, our frames are good looking, very sturdy and feature a "smooth durable" finish. Each frame that we make goes through a multiple step hand finished process, so each one is unique. However, there is not enough variation that they would look awkward hanging on a wall next to another frame of the same color, so feel free to buy more than one if you'd like.

Each of our frames are built to order from raw wood, and each frame gets a six and sometimes seven step finish. As you can imagine, this takes some time so please allow 7-12 business days for your frame order to be built, finished, assembled, packaged and shipped. Occasionally we need a day or two extra depending on our current volume of orders. Keep in mind it may take up to 14 full days to receive your frames when weekends and shipping time are considered. They are handmade with care and we strive for quality over speed, some imperfections may occur. Natural to the wood.

If you need your frames by a certain date, please let us know as soon as possible. We can almost always accommodate your schedule as long as we know the date you need your order to arrive. If you need to put a RUSH on your order, we are happy to do this but we charge an additional $10 per frame for rushes.

Additional return information

In regards to Framing: Measurements can and may be 1/32-1/16' off. We use real glass in our frames. We prefer the look and feel of glass over plexiglass (which scratches easily and collects static electricity so it is hard to get dust off of it). Though glass breakage is rare, postal folks do tend to throw boxes around, so on occasion we will encounter a broken pane of glass. If your glass has broken during shipment, please contact us and we will send you a new pane of glass ASAP.

If you hear broken glass rattling around in your box, DO NOT OPEN the package. Simply write "DAMAGED - RETURN TO SENDER" on the box and give it back to your carrier. They will send the box back to us and we will replace whatever needs to be replaced and ship it back to you ASAP.

In General: If you would like to make an exchange, we are happy to do this as well. If you have not opened the package please keep your original packaging for returning your item(s), and write REFUSED and/or RETURN TO SENDER on the box so you are not charged for return shipping. All frames are made to order and made from natural wood, some imperfections may occur.

Make sure you contact us to make arrangements for your exchange so we can be on the lookout for your package.

Circumstances apply that you have to pay for shipping if returning an item & not exchanging. Contact us if you are unhappy. We want you to be happy!!

**Custom orders can not be returned.**
