Item details

You’re working too hard. Selling your art was supposed to be fun, footloose, fancy-free-ee-ee. But instead you feel like there are never enough hours in the day and never, ever, ever enough time to create. You need to rethink your business model: how does the money come in the door? Is there a way to make more money with less effort? You bet your favorite knickers there is.

Licensing is the magic feather you’ll tickle across your business to end your income woes.

I like to think of it as someone renting your art. A company or manufacturer will give you some money in exchange for using the digital image of your work on products – from wall calendars to lunchboxes to notebooks and jigsaw puzzles, even just canvas prints – that sell in retail stores, online and offline.

**So What Exactly Do I Get?**
9 step-by-step lessons of very specific instruction for getting a licensing deal. I walk you through exactly how to find an interested company and set up a mutually-beneficial deal with them. No drama. No stress. And lots of extra money. Included in the program are bonus sample materials like a sample contract and a sample introductory email to use when pitching a licensing company the first time. And if you run into confusion, I’m available through the course contact button to help you out at any step along the way. Here is what those steps look like, lesson by lesson:

Lesson 1: Interest Shown
Lesson 2: More Information
Lesson 3: Initial Offer
Lesson 4: Negotiations
Lesson 5: Agreement Drafted
Lesson 6: Potential Agreement Tweaks
Lesson 7: Agreement Signed
Lesson 8: Art Delivered
Lesson 9: Post Mortem

**How Long Will It Take?**
I want you to go at your own pace because everyone is in a different situation and has a different amount of time to dedicate to education. I don’t expect you to work through the materials on my schedule. Each lesson should take you somewhere between 3 and 10 minutes to read, but you’ll also want to take notes and look over the bonus materials. If you’re working alongside the course, you can get your first licensing deal started before you’ve even finished the lessons! You’ll want to set aside another 30 minutes to an hour per lesson to complete some tasks that reflect what you learned.

So if you’re just learning, you can read through the course in less than 2 hours. But if you want to implement as you read, it’ll take probably around 12 hours over the span of a couple weeks. I think the course works best if you read through it once, and then read through it again while you implement.

**Ready to License?**
Purchase whenever you're ready. I'll send you a "welcome to the course" type of email that will give you access to the course through my website. You'll get that within 48 hours. In the meantime, just send me a convo using this link if you have questions: http://www.etsy.com/convo_new.php?to_username=RameOttone&referring_listing_id=64068597&ref=ls_contact_top

**Still Not Sure?**
If you’re still not sure about your particular situation, I’d love to talk to you about it via email. Just drop me a note (use that convo link above) telling me about your business and what you’re worried about and I’ll give you my honest opinion whether Artistic License will work for you or not. I’m not interested in selling this to artists who won’t get their first licensing deal from learning the material (and many more after that!). I want everyone who takes the course to be completely, 100%, jazzed up, ridiculously over-the-freakin-moon happy with it.

Most items are shipped virtually through Etsy conversation or through email. If you would like another option, just let me know and we'll work something out.

For items that do physically ship, you will be refunded any shipping costs you were charged that were not used in the shipping of your package.
I will naturally select the most inexpensive shipping method (but I am trained to package your order securely) with no additional insurance (aside from any insurance provided by the carrier). If you would like a specific method or want to add insurance, please contact me before or upon payment.
Your order will be shipped promptly. Should I be unable to ship your order (vacations or serious illness), I will convo you upon purchase to let you know.
You will receive a confirmation email when you have payed for your order and when your order has been shipped.
I accept all international orders, but will ship to the address Etsy gives me unless otherwise notified by the buyer. Customs forms will be filled as clearly and simply as possible to allow for the most likely chance of successful package receipt. If there is a difficulty shipping your package, I will notify you and issue a full refund. If your international package does not make it through customs, you will absorb the purchase price and the shipping costs but are free to handle the situation with the shipping carrier. Should the package be returned to me in this instance, you will be issued a refund of the purchase price, but not the shipping.

The buyer absorbs all shipping costs unless otherwise noted.

Note that your order is no longer under my control once physically shipped. I will do all that I can to ensure it makes its way to you safely and to help you in the process should it not, but I have no control over the package's route or safety along that route.

Payments

I currently only accept Paypal as it is the most secure method for both buyer and seller. You do not have to have a Paypal account to use the service. Paypal will allow you to input your credit card information without an account (or there is also a process that uses your checking account should you so choose). Etsy does not mark the item sold until payment has been made. If you have not payed for your order, you have not purchased the product or secured it as yours. Orders may be canceled before payment is finalized or before your order has shipped, refer to the refunds and exchanges section below for more options.

Returns & exchanges

Should you have already paid but want to cancel an order, I will issue you a refund.
Should the item not be to your liking, refunds and exchanges will be handled on a case to case basis. I want my customers to be happy!! I will do what I can to make sure you are pleased with your experience doing business with 604 Solutions.
Should your order have shipped, I can issue you a partial refund (minus the shipping cost) unless the item in question was not as pictured or described in the listing, in which case you will be issued a full refund upon receipt of the item at 604 Solutions.
Exchanges are always welcome, but shipping charges will be absorbed by the buyer.

Lost or damaged packages should be handled through the shipping carrier. You will be notified upon shipment of your order's shipping carrier, method, and any numbers associated with the package. I would be happy to add insurance to your package should you request it upon payment, but you will be required to pay an additional charge to cover it.

Additional policies

Please convo me if you want something slightly different, in another color, or a totally new and awesome custom item. I do not sell wholesale because my production is so low.

You are guaranteed to be treated fairly and reasonably at 604 Solutions. You are guaranteed to complete transactions following first Etsy's sitewide polocies and secondly 604 Solution's policies listed above.
