The different sizes are color-coded for easy reading of the pattern. I haven't used it yet (the whole "having a newborn" thing), but it seems .

I wanted something a little different to send for a baby shower. I am told that when the mom-to-be opened the gift and held up the little cap, the room broke into applause. Applause is also due for the excellent instructions that made knitting this a breeze. I chose to sew the brim rather than use snaps for an infant. I do not like even the slightest risk of a choking hazard for something I give as a gift. The cap is just as cute without them. I used brown tweed type yarn and also made a pair of little tweed sockies to go with it. Highly recommended.
