It was fun to open this package and discover all the different letterpress scraps. (I only wish there were a few less type-only squares and a few more image squares.) I plan to make a small "quilt" out of the most colorful, intriguing squares. Fun!

Additional return information
By and large, 622 press has a 'no returns' policy. There should be no reason for a return, we only sell what we consider to be perfect. There will, of course, be slight variations from one card to another, that's the beauty of something made by a human being instead of a machine. If you truly think you deserve a refund, it will be handled on a case-by-case basis. Buyer is responsible for all shipping costs.

We also list our 'seconds,' which, as is explained in the item description, have small defects and significantly lower prices. You know what you're getting into, please don't try to return these.

Orders cancelled before they are shipped will be refunded in full.

Additional policies

All 622 press cards are packed to arrive safely and unbent. Some cards come in cello wrappers, but I try to cut down on packaging material when shipping goods. If you would like your cards packaged in cello, please add it to your "note to seller" (there is no extra charge). I try to recycle shipping materials as much as possible while keeping your order safe and sound.

Custom work
622 press is more than happy to do custom work. Please give me as much information up front as possible so the workflow can be as efficient as possible.
There are many things to keep in mind when designing for letterpress. Letterpress truly excels at printing line art. You will get the deepest impression and overall best results from lines between 1-4 points. Large areas of color will not show the impression as well, nor will it be 100% consistent. Very small text or complicated designs may get clogged up with ink and not print well. For more guidelines on designing for letterpress, see: http://www.boxcarpress.com/letterpress/designing-for-letterpress.html

Each and every piece of paper is placed into the press by hand. This means there will be slight variations from piece to piece — that's the beauty of handmade! Please allow up to 1/16" variation.

Letterpress is a physical process done completely by hand. I cut each piece of paper, print, fold and package everything by hand. Expect even the smallest job to take a minimum of 2-3 weeks, add another week for each additional ink color.

622 press merchandise is available to purchase for resale. Please contact me at six22press@yahoo.com for more information.
