Item details

This listing is for a digital sewing pattern, not the actual item or the materials. This pattern is in ENGLISH only.

Use this digital pattern to make a tiny friend from scraps and take it with you wherever you go! This wee little mouse is designed to fit inside an empty Altoids® tin and will slip easily into purses or backpacks for travel. You can easily customize them for a girl or a boy, depending on the colors you choose. This pattern uses both machine and hand sewing.

The Wee Mouse Tin House pattern features instructions to make:

Tiny corduroy or flannel mouse
Stuffed pillow
Mattress
Blanket
Teeny teddy bear friend for the mouse

I've included lots of tips and tricks for easy construction -- No need to be afraid of tiny!

NOTE: This toy design is quite small and the teddy bear in particular may present a choking hazard. This is not a toy designed for children under the age of three!

This digital pattern PDF will be available for INSTANT DOWNLOAD once your payment is completed.

Included in this original eight page pattern are actual size pattern pieces, detailed step-by-step instructions and clear diagrams. This pattern is written for folks who have had some basic sewing and embroidery experience and who are familiar with common sewing terms.

Materials used to make the wee mouse are commonly available and probably in your scrap pile already! They include: corduroy OR flannel, wool or wool-blend felts, cotton ticking, stuffing and coordinating thread and floss. A combination of machine and some hand sewing are used. Freezer paper is also used to make construction simple and easy.

This pattern is in PDF format on 8.5 x 11 paper, so you can print it from your regular printer at home on standard paper or card stock, as many times as you need for personal use.

COTTAGE INDUSTRY SELLERS: If you are a home sewer, YES, it is OK to make and sell items from this pattern as long as you credit me for the pattern. No mass production allowed. Please check my policies page for details.

I bought this to make for my nieces and they LOVED them. I now have to make 3 more for my other nieces who are super excited to get their own. The pattern was easy to follow, with helpful instructions and diagrams. I would recommend to anyone. I looked around for a while before I purchased and nothing else had the same charm and character as these wee mice. Thanks so much

no problems whatsoever... downloaded just fine, instructions seem pretty clear. Pretty sure that if something goes wrong it will be due to my (poor) sewing skills... :-)

Additional policies

COTTAGE INDUSTRY SELLERS:
If you are a home sewer and have a cottage industry personally making things with your own little hands and selling them to your friends, in a craft booth or personal online shop (read: no mass production), you can purchase my patterns for that purpose, with my blessing.

Go forth and make it a success! Make as many as you are personally capable of. Sew for your friends. Sew for your shop. Sew for craft fairs and bazaars. Sew up a storm! Of course there are terms. But not that many:

- A reminder that the copyright on my patterns still stands: That is, you may not copy, resell, share, distribute or publish (online or otherwise) any portion of any of my patterns without prior permission from me. Period. Basically anything that involves sharing any part of my patterns with anyone else is a no-no.

- Each sewer must purchase a pattern for themselves. If you have a friend who is interested in partnering up with you, or you are hosting a craft party, please refer each of them to my blog or shop to purchase their own pattern. Thank you! (Exceptions may be made in the case of charitable sewing, just be sure to check with me first!)

-Production is limited. To honor the 'no mass production' spirit, please limit your listings (or display in your booth) no more than twenty MmmCrafts items at a time. This means a total of twenty of any pattern combination, for instance:
8 Mikey Monkeys + 12 Christmas Ornaments = limit of 20.
If you are selling something as a set under one listing (like ornaments) that would count as one item.

- Include credit where it's due. Please list a credit for the pattern on each listing or on each hang tag for the item: Pattern by Larissa Holland, mmmcrafts.blogspot.com or something like that.

- Minor derivatives are ok, but even if you make changes in the way a pattern is made, please still give a credit to me for the pattern, along with a note that it is a variation.

- PLEASE NOTE that it is really really really NOT OK to use any of my photos, images, logos, badges, or graphics to promote your site or booth on signs, flyers, tags, headers, etc... Don't do it! Those images are copyrighted.

Judging from the number of requests I get, there are a lot of readers out there who don't have the time or inclination to sew for themselves and they would appreciate knowing where to find your MmmCrafts handmade items. Let's get you two together! Send me a link to your shop so I can place it on the Mmmakers page on my blog so folks will know where to find you and buy your MmmCrafts stuff.
