Item details

This is an amazing pattern based on a vintage lingerie set from a 1950s French magazine. The garter belt has optional boning at the waist, and back closure options with eyelet or hook and eye. The garter clips are also optional. This would make a great addition to any French frou frou lingerie drawer.

This pattern is part of the Ooh La la Pin-up Sew-along on A Few Threads Loose. There's a tutorial to walk you through each and every step of sewing your corset, pictures, advice, and a place to ask questions:

The last photo is just one of many ways the corset can be sewn. To see several different versions of the corset sewn up, check out our Craftsy project gallery:

This went together well and was easy to print out. I misread the directions and forgot to add seam allowance - DOH. I ended up adding more back panels to get it to fit, but it looks awful and the waist is too big, so I think I will start over. I would recommend that you add hip measurements for each waist size in the item description, as that will make modifying the pattern easier.

Additional policies

If you have any questions about printing:
Please feel free to email us, we'd be happy to help. (mrsdepewvintage@gmail.com).
We get about 100 emails a day so please don't be upset if we can't get to your questions right away. We try to answer all downloading and printing questions right away.

Please note that the purchase of a sewing pattern from Mrs. Depew Vintage entitles you to the following:
- a great sewing pattern that may not be available anywhere else.
- a prompt reply if you have trouble downloading or printing your pattern (digital orders).

Sadly, this does not include a sewing questions help line. If it did, we would have to hire an extra employee and an intern or two. These things would cost quite a bit of money and the cost of patterns would go up, and that would make everyone very sad. If you have a sewing question, there's a chance that we won't be able to get to it. As much as we would like to help every customer with their sewing questions, there just aren't enough hours in the day. That said, you're still very welcome to write in with your sewing questions. We don't mind and when we have a free moment, we try to help if we can. But if you don't get a timely response, please don't take it personally, there just aren't enough hours in the day and Mrs. Depew will crash and burn if she skips any more meals to try answer just one more email...
