*** This is a PDF CROCHET PATTERN and NOT the finished item ***
This is an original crochet pattern to make a cute sock monkey with punch thread.
The sock monkey made with this pattern is small enough (50mm - 1.97") to hide in your pocket and take it anywhere.
It's bigger than my Fingertip Sock Monkey Pattern and even if jointed it's easier.
I will give you all the instructions step by step to joint the arms and legs to make it poseable (the head is made up with the body) but it's nice also without the jointing.
The pattern is written in english (US terms) and is suitable for beginner/intermediate crocheters. The instructions are detailed and easy to follow if you know the basic stitches and techniques used to make amigurumi.
The pattern is available for instant download as a PDF file (you will need Adobe Acrobat to open it).
To make this little sock monkey you will need:
- Gray, White and Red punch thread;
- Hook: 1.5 mm (USA #7 - UK #2.5);
- Black cotton thread for the eyes or 2 tiny black onyx round beads –1mm.
- Red cotton thread for the stripes;
- Sewing needle;
- Polyester fiberfill;
- Dental floss (or upholstery thread) for jointing the arms and legs;
- Small tweezers or a tootpick for stuffing.
- Pliers to help pull the needle when jointing;
I will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
