While my cousin was pregnant I had tiny tots on my mind and got in quite a frenzy of designing sets of stuffed toys for the littlest hands. I'm calling them Little Softies.
These whimsical animals are simple to make - from your favorite fabric scraps, bits of polyfil stuffing, and simple embroidery to add appealing features. Totally baby safe, they will be loved by babies and toddlers alike, who will enjoy taking them out and putting them back into their soft fabric box/basket. Very stimulating, these animal sets encourage the imagination! As well as "all-natural" play, Little Softies can be used for teaching, and could also be part of a Noah's Ark.
Alternately they could also be hand sewn from felt - a fun project for kids or adults!
Zoo Set, includes Giraffe, Elephant and Baby Elephant, Tiger (can also be a Cheetah or Panther), Kangaroo, Crocodile, Zebra, Bear and little Bear Cub (can also be Polar bears!). They are really sweet to make in pairs or multiples, for an even bigger Zoo!
Make just a few of them for a gift, or make the whole set. You have a lot of choices for how to use this pattern set.
Box/basket is about 3.75" tall and 8.5" across. Giraffe is 9.5" tall, Bear Cub is 4.75" long.
12 page PDF of easy to follow patterns, instructions and diagrams for all animals as well as the box/basket.
