This pattern is for beginners through intermediate skill level. Row by row instruction for headband with side increases.

You need to know how to:
Make one (M1)
Cast on
Bind off.

Finished headband size is 2 1/4" wide and between 20"-24" long; general adult sizing, but of course it can be made shorter for a teen-sized, or child-sized head circumference.

~ ~ ~ (If you need help with instructions, ravelry.com is a wonderful site for taking the guess work out of knitting terms. Also, youtube has actual videos of any of these techniques.) ~ ~ ~ ~

I think the headband looks best using natural fibers. You can use cotton yarn, hemp, linen or a blend of either of these fibers. It could also be knitted using sport weight acrylic or wool yarn.

In the photos of the finished headband, both the russet/pumpkin and gray were knit using all hemp; 100% hemp fibers. The green headband pictured was knit by me in cotton. Use your imagination! I've also knit it in cotton/wool blend in variegated colors and it looks great as well.

The finished product fits most adult to teen-sized heads.

NOTE: This listing is for the PATTERN ONLY in .pdf form. Now available as an Instant Download; once you put the pattern in your Cart and check-out ~ you can download right away from your computer and then print! What could be easier?

~This pattern is for personal use only. You may not distribute or sell anything made from this pattern.~

NOTE: If you don't want a downloaded .pdf, I can mail you a printed out version of the pattern, it that's what you'd prefer.
