Item details

NOTE: This listing is for the PDF pattern only.

Everyone loves an easy-going summer weight slouchy hat. Here's one of my designs taken from a few hats I've seen on the street and combining my favorite aspects of each.

It's striped in warm weather colors, has a rolled brim, instead of standard ribbing, and has just the right amount of slouch to make it hip.

The finished hat as shown fits most adult or teen-sized heads, 20-23".

You'll need to know how to cast on, knit, purl, decrease and change colors to make this hat. I'd say it was geared toward an intermediate knitter, but if you're a beginner, take advantage of the videos on youtube to show you step by step what each term means. Ravelry.com and other knitting sites also have instructions to help you out.

The pattern calls for worsted weight cotton blend yarn, but any weight yarn to get your gauge would be OK.

This listing is a PDF KNITTING PATTERN for the Slouchy Striped Hat. It is available as an Instant Download after you put the pattern in your cart and check-out. Any problems? Email me and I'll try to talk you through the process.

Returns & exchanges

As far as refunds or exchanges, I'm fairly sure you'll love any choice you've made from my shop. In the event you or your gift recipient is unhappy, be sure to let me know right away and we can perhaps exchange it for something else in my shop, or refund any item returned in unused condition. Any questions or concerns, do not hesistate to contact me.

My most asked question? How do I know if the teapot cozy will fit my teapot? Read carefully through the description of the item you're interested in. Then measure circumferentially your own teapot including the handle and spout. To make sure you've chosen the correct size, add 1/2" or more for an easy fit.

If you've taken the time to read through the description of each item in my shop, and have measured to make sure of a good fit - I'm quite sure you'll be very pleased when you receive your handmade item.
