For sale is an antique wooden button with a steel ring attached. The button measures approximately 22 millimeters in diameter. The ring is attached to what I believe to be a tin clip with bent prongs to hold the button to the ring. Whether these three components are meant to be together is beyond me. It looks like the ring could have been used in conjunction with a leather strap. I think it could also be used as a sort of holder...the button would go in your button hole and something else (like a whistle, a mechanical pencil, etc.) could be attached to the ring. As is, this actually makes a very interesting finger ring (approximately a size 4).
