Item details

This twosome contains a vintage darning egg with a handle and a black-handle pattern marker. Both show signs of wear, but are still useable, or for the collector of black sewing items.

The darner was probably made for gloves. The tapered end would go in the fingers, and the larger end would be inserted into the palm. It could be used to darn other items as well.

The tracing wheel has what looks to be a steel shaft, which is straight and not off-set as in some models. I believe it is of German or English origin.

The darner measures 6.25 inches in length. The width of the handle at its widest part is 6/8 inch. The width of the egg is 2 inches.

The tracing wheel/pattern marker is 6 3/8 inches long. The handle is one inch wide. The wheel is 3/4 inch wide. The shaft from the top of the wheel to its base is 2 3/4 inches.

Quoted shipping charges are based on USPS Priority Mail flat rate prices or by First Class mail, depending on size/weight. Large or bulky items will be sent by Parcel Post. Please convo me for the final price before buying if you have concerns. If you are charged too much, I will of course, refund the overage.

I combine items whenever possible to save you on shipping charges.

Since all my items are different sizes, I recycle boxes or use those provided by the postal service.

***INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: I will happily ship internationally, however, beware the shipping charges are horrendous! Also, I am NOT responsible for any country's customs charges, tariffs or taxes. The buyer is solely responsible for taking care of any fees that are associated with the shipment. Please check with your customs office and/or postal service if you are concerned about possible tariffs. THIS IS ESPECIALLY IMPORTANT FOR UK BUYERS! The Royal Mail is reportedly being much more vigilant in collecting VAT on purchases made through the mail. You should be prepared for the possibility of paying VAT plus a Royal Mail fee upon receipt.

Returns of international orders will not be accepted due to customs fees.
Please contact your local postal office if you have any questions. These fees as stated above, are NOT refunded by me, the seller.

I am also not responsible for any stolen packages once I have proof of delivery through USPS International Tracking and or Federal Express tracking systems.

Payments

I will do lay-away for items over $100 upon request and an acceptable payment plan.
I will hold items for you on request for a maximum of three days. Extenuating circumstances will be considered.

Returns & exchanges
I don't accept returns, exchanges, or cancellations
But please contact me if you have any problems with your order.
Additional return information
I generally don't accept returns or offer refunds. All items are carefully described and in good to excellent condition for a vintage piece, unless otherwise noted. If you have questions, please contact me before purchase.

If you feel the item was grossly misrepresented, then I will consider a refund.

Additional policies

***The shipping charges listed are the highest you would be charged. If I can ship at a significantly lower rate, I will do so and refund you the excess.***
