Item details

The directions in this pattern are for a crocheted baby blanket or lap blanket.

Like the wind sending ripples across the water, vertical stripes create contrast to horizontal waves. Front-post and back-post stitches add texture and more vertical movement.

If you have never done post stitches, fear not! They are just like regular stitches except that they go around the post of a stitch instead of into the top loops. You will be repeating the same 2 rows over and over as you make each strip, so you will probably get the hang of it quickly.

The blankets in the pictures have been donated to charity.

Finished size: 29 inches x 33 inches
Gauge: in pattern, each strip is 5.25 inches wide, 6 rows = 4 inches

You will need worsted or aran weight yarn as follows:
600 yds. Color A
400 yds. Color B
H hook (or size to get gauge)

The PDF is available for digital download as soon as your payment clears.
