7 Handmade Textured Bronze 1" (2.4cm) round buttons with Patina
Back in the day, things were not punched out by machines. Back in the day, someone actually put their hand to an item during it's making, and the variations thereof are why we celebrate the quality of the antique. (That, and the fact that all the cheap stuff made long ago has fallen apart by now.)
In a hundred years, I bet someone will still have these buttons on a sweater somewhere. They will go on a piece you knit, and be worn and loved. When the elbows go out and can no longer be patched, these buttons will be cut off and put in a battered button tin, to re-emerge on a cardigan twenty years later with the next generation of knitters. And so on, and so on.....
Made of bronzclay, these buttons were formed and and a rayed texture applied layer by layer. They were then kiln fired in a special oxidizing media, and tumbler polished. They are each an ample 1" in diameter, and each one is a little lighter than a nickel.
Please hand wash!
THESE ARE A DISCONTINUED/ONE OF A KIND SET, SO ONCE THEY'RE GONE, THEY'RE GONE! :)

Shipping & policies
I ship worldwide. Generally items are sent USPS First Class or Priority with insurance to the US, Australia, Canada, and European Union. To other countries I ship flat rate Priority Mail International envelope. If you need Express delivery, please convo me and I will do my best to accommodate you; you will receive a Paypal invoice for the additional postage.
I do my best to calculate accurate costs, but it can be hard. Please know that my policy is to adjust downwards the shipping cost when I can. "Additional items" sometimes require their own boxes, or are heavy, which can push costs up. I will do my best to be fair to you.
For some international deliveries I may discuss best shipping practices before shipping, and reserve the right to require insurance and/or a signature in certain cases if I think it safest. Also, please be aware of your country's custom regulations, as in some instances you may be responsible for duty charges. I mark packages accurately as to their contents and value.
I will send to your Etsy account address unless I get a convo at the time of purchase giving me other instructions.
I accept Paypal for payment, and credit cards through the Etsu Checkout system.
Sales within Texas are charged 8.25% sales tax.
Returns & exchanges
I will of course accept returns on in stock items, but please choose carefully and thoughtfully. Since all my pieces are one of a kind - when they are not in the shop they are being missed by other Etsy shoppers. I would appreciate being notified within five days of your intent to return, and receive the item back within two weeks after your receipt of it.
I welcome custom orders! I do quite a bit of custom work, and have found it to be a lot of fun. If you see something that is almost but not quite what you need, contact me. Or if you just think of something you want and looking at my work makes you think I can make it, contact me about that too! Those are usually the best ; )
