All items will be shipped within 48 hours of payment receipt unless there are unavoidable delays such as postal holidays, etc.
If something is breakable and valued at over $100, I will insure it with the postal service at no additional cost to you if it is domestic or international priority mail. The post office will no longer allow me to insure international first class. If your item arrives damaged, you can take your damaged item in the damaged box to the post office and get a refund from the USPS because it is insured by them--not me. I cannot help you here.
If something is valued at less than $100 and you want to have it insured, let me know and I will tell you how much extra you will have to pay to have it insured. We must work this out before your item is purchased. If you choose to NOT pay for insurance and your piece gets damaged during shipment, you are on your own.
I will refund excess international shipping paid in excess of $1 since you really have to guess at how much that's going to cost on the front end, if you pay using your Pay Pal account or credit card. I cannot refund excess shipping paid via any other method.
I will combine shipping on multiple purchases when possible (when it will fit in a box together) and if you have paid too much for shipping, I will refund all excess shipping paid in excess of $1 for multiple purchases either domestic or international. Again, I can only do this when the item was paid for via Pay Pal or credit card.
Since I basically have to guess how much shipping is going to cost, if you want a more accurate price for international rates, just convo me with the package destination and I can usually give you a pretty good estimate of the real costs. If you want to make a purchase, I can adjust the shipping rates before you buy. I try to get back to all messages within 24 hours.
Purchasing a gift for someone? Just contact me before purchasing and we can work it out. I will be happy to send your gift wrapped and include a note, etc. Whatever you like.
If you need your item to get there faster than usual and are willing to pay for some type of expedited shipping, please contact me BEFORE the purchase so we can work out the details and the cost up front.
INTERNATIONAL BUYERS: Your country's customs office may charge you a tax on imported merchandise. This is out of my control and I have no idea if you will be charged or how much you will be charged. This tax is charged when you pick up your item. It has NOTHING to do with ME. Please do not give me bad feedback if you are charged an import tax. If you feel the import tax is excessive, that is something you should take up with your country's officials.
Payment should be made immediately via Pay Pal or credit card. I also accept money orders, but they must be received within one week of purchase. For higher priced items, I offer LAY-AWAY. Convo me and we can work out an installment plan. During the lay-away period, your item(s) will be RESERVED for you, but will not be shipped until payment is received in full.

Buyers are responsible for return shipping costs. If the item is not returned in its original condition, the buyer is responsible for any loss in value.
Additional return information
I am usually disappointed when someone requests a refund because I spend a very long time writing my descriptions and I try to post enough pictures so that no one will be surprised when their items arrive. I strive to provide accurate measurements, descriptions of fabric & construction, and condition issues (if any). Since vintage is one of a kind & different eras result in different sizing it's IMPERATIVE to compare measurements provided in my listings with something of your own that fits you. If in doubt, please ask for more detailed measurements.
With all that said, I know sometimes things are different when you receive them than you expected them to be, or they don't fit, or it doesn't match, or whatever. I will give you a full refund of the purchase price as long as you follow the steps below. Please do not write to me making up long list of things you don't like about the item or accusing me of being a liar or being deceitful because you think this is necessary to get a refund. I do not misrepresent my items, however, I am surely capable of making mistakes. Like anyone else, I do not like to be accused of dishonesty. This just ticks me off and ruins my day! Just let me know you don't want it and that's good enough.
RETURN RULES (There are only 2! It is quite simple.)
1. Let me know you will be returning the item via email or convo, within THREE (3) DAYS of your receipt of the item. 2. Return the item UNDAMAGED within SEVEN (7) DAYS.
DO NOT send me back an item that you have damaged! As with all other stores--YOU BREAK IT, YOU BUY IT. ALL clothing items must be UNUSED, UNWORN, and UNWASHED, period. If the item smells of smoke or heavy perfume or it looks like your animal used it for a bed, I will not accept it as a return. If you have ruined it in the wash, or at your cleaners, it is non-returnable. Custom orders or items that have been altered to fit are non-returnable.
DO NOT wait for weeks or months and then request a refund. By that time, I have already spent your money on more wonderful items for my shop as I am a vintage shop-a-holic!
I will NOT refund shipping and handling unless there is some unusual circumstance because those funds have already been spent at the post office.
All returns must be approved prior to sending them back. There may be a restocking fee charged on more expensive items; and refunds, if made, are based on total purchase price only.
I have been selling antiques online for years so I know how to pack carefully. I use high quality packing materials that I pay for myself. However, once in a while, a piece will arrive at it's destination damaged no matter how carefully I have packed it. So...

PLEASE NOTE: I am not responsible for the postal service. If your package disappears into thin air, we are both losing out. I don't have an item and neither do you. Don't expect a full refund if this happens. If you are worried about this occurring, purchase postal insurance.

RESERVED ITEMS: I will be happy to reserve an item (place it on hold) for up to seven days. If you need something held for longer than seven days, you do not need a reserve, you need a lay-away plan and you will be required to make a deposit. Contact me and we can work something out.
WEIGHT: "Are these earrings going to be too heavy?" Please don't ask me this, or questions like this, as what seems too heavy for one person may not seem heavy to another. If you want me to weigh a pair of earrings, I will be happy to weigh them and tell you how many grams they weigh. Even though this is stated quite clearly here, I have had two people give me poor feedback ratings because they thought the earrings were too heavy. How ridiculous! How am I supposed to know what seems to be too heavy for you?
COLOR: What looks to be the right color on my computer monitor may look differently on your screen. There is nothing I can do about this. Colors vary from monitor to monitor and screen to screen. If you purchase something and the shade is not exactly what you expected, you can return it as long as you follow the return policy rules. Please do not leave me a negative review if this happens as it is out of my control.
NEW NOTE: It pains me greatly to have to add this note. There always seem to be a few "bad apples" who spoil things for the rest of us. After having a couple of run in's with dishonest people, I feel compelled to add these comments: I have had several people purchase items, use them and damage them, and then to try to say I sent them something that was damaged. I had one customer who purchased a clothing item, wore it, broke the zipper in it, and then did not want to return it, but still wanted a full refund. She left me "neutral" feedback saying the item was the wrong size (as if it was my fault that she tried to squeeze a size X bottom into a size S pants). She was unhappy even after I gave her a partial refund to try to make her happy. She kept the clothing item. Another customer bought a very expensive vintage item to wear to a party, damaged it and then tried to return it for a full refund. This is not a lending library--we do not mail out clothing items or accessories so that you can wear them to your function and then return them to us for a full refund--especially after you ruin the items! So beware, you dishonest few who make the rest of us miserable. I have many photos of all of my items so I can prove they were in good condition when I sent them to you. If you are looking for someone to cheat, look somewhere else. If you are an honest, sane person, I can assure you that we will have no problems because I am the same.
In short, please help protect the joy of online shoppers everywhere and be fair. Communicate. Attempt a little problem solving, and above all, be honest. I promise you I will be.
