Step 1: Secure yarn
Secure yarn between your thumb and hand, leaving a 14 in. / 36 cm. tail.
Step 2: Wrap yarn around your fingers
Wrap the yarn behind your index and bring to the front.
Wrap the yarn in front of your middle finger and slide between your middle and ring finger.
Loop around the back of your middle finger and bring yarn to the front (in between your middle and index finger).
Wrap the yarn around your index finger
Step 2: Wrap a second row of yarn
Bring the yarn up between your index and middle finger. Wrap the yarn in front of your middle finger and slide between your middle and ring finger.
Bring the yarn up through your middle and index finger and back around your index.
Step 3: Pull the rows over the tops of your fingers
Slide the first loop you made on your index finger over the second loop and and off of your finger.
Repeat the above step with your middle finger. You will be left with 1 loop on each finger. Repeat steps 2 and 3 until you have 12 in. / 30 cm. of finger knits.
Step 4: Finishing touches
Cut the yarn, leaving a 14 in. / 36 cm tail end. Pull the end all the way through the center of your last loops. Tip: You can tie a knot at the very ends of your yarn for a more finished look or tie several knitted pieces together to create an interesting layered combo.
Step 5: Even it out
Pull on both ends to even out your stitches and lengthen your necklace. Now it’s time to wear and enjoy!
