Rice Heating Bags, Fleece hats, Key Fobs, and a variety of other hand made items can be found in my shop
Fleece hats, ear warmers, rice heating Pads and boo boo bags along with key fobs, chapstick holders, hair ties, purses and a variety of other items can be found in my shop. You never know what will come out of my sewing room.
I began sewing on my Mother's treadle sewing machine. She would let me sew scraps together. I loved watching her cut out patterns from newspaper and made a dress or a skirt. In the 7th grade in 4-H club, I learned how to make a simple gathered skirt. After that I was hooked. In 9th grade I made my first ever dress and remember it still - it was orange with small scarecrows on it and had a long waisted bodice.
This was just the beginning of my lifetime of crafting. I later made quilts and clothing for my children. But, I was always creating new projects. Whether it was making grapevine wreaths, hair ribbons, Rice Bags, crocheting and knitting hats and caps or creating little dolls and creatures for my 6 children. I sold at craft fairs and did volunteer work.
Once my children grew up, I went to college and became a teacher. After retiring from teaching gifted children, I opened an Etsy shop to share my hand crafted items with the world. I constantly am coming up with new projects as that is my love - creating new items. I have a shop where I sell only dog diapers, one for only wire cardholders and then this one where I share many of my handmade collections such as a couple sizes Microwave Rice bags, Hand Warmers, fleece slouchy hats, hair ties, baby bibs and burp cloths, Key fobs and my excess supplies.
I I also do some custom embroidery work. Jewelry making is another passion of mine I have collected quite an inventory off beads and supplies to make Necklaces, bracelets and wire wrapped rings.
I have another shop called WireCardHolders where I exclusively sell wire card holders. Also another where I sell Male Dog Diapers called RitzyDogDapers. Hope you will take the time to browse my shop Comfort and Grins where you will find a host of handcrafted treasures.
