Rescuing and Preserving Days Gone By
Some of the earliest and fondest memories I have are of reminiscing over old family pictures and listening to my mother talk about the "good old days". Being from a poor farm family, she would tell me about things they used for their daily routines compared to what was currently available. I was fortunate to live near my grandmother who was the original thrifter and recycler. She never threw anything out. When she passed, we found numerous balls of cloth from old clothes and sheets, she had torn into strips to be used for tying things together. She even saved the paper insert to her pantyhose and would write important phone numbers and addresses on them.
There was a period of time in my life when vintage simply meant "old" and did not have a place in my home. However, as a I became older and began to develop the style that made me happy, the voices from the past reached out and grabbed me. I fell back in love with the design, colors, and ingenuity of vintage items. The amount of character and warmth they add to any space, special event or occasion can't be surpassed.
This renewed love for vintage is part of the reason I opened this store but it is my side hustle. I work full time as a speech/language pathologist, providing speech therapy services to children and adults. It is a career I've enjoyed for over 30 years.
I curate items from a variety of sources including, garage/yard sales, estate sales, flea markets, auctions, and thrift stores. Whenever possible, I buy from thrift stores that support a charitable organization. I also frequently go picking in places most people wouldn't dare go. The hunt is half the fun.
Please look around the shop and see what treasures you can find. You never know what unique piece you might find that you just can't live without.

Moral Support/Constant Companion
Tony is a 10 year old male lab mix whose sole goal in life is to go everywhere with me. He thinks it is unfair he isn't allowed in thrift stores.
Vito is an 9 year old male flat coated retriever. He was born to be a security guard/bouncer. If you want to come to my house, you have to get a security pass from Vito.
Sofie is a 2 year old German Shepherd mix who is my newest employee. If you come to our home, she will make you feel like a long lost friend.
