Dolls, dolls, everywhere there are dolls!
I suppose I'm a late bloomer to the doll world!! I have been designing and making doll clothes since I was about 7. I started with Barbie, and smaller dolls, and worked up to my all time favorite-the American Girl type 18" doll.
In my early 20's, I found a box of my childhood dolls that were in need of clothes. I had been sewing a lot by then, and had many scraps. I cut and sewed and created with frills, ruffles and lace and put them on display in a spare room. A few years later, I made doll dresses for my oldest girls, although they didn't seem much interested in dolls just then.
In 2009, when my youngest daughter discovered the American Girl dolls, and those just like her, I was hooked. Sunk. Fatally destined, Deliriously Delighted! I started sewing doll clothes.....but dolls need a complete wardrobe you know? There weren't many patterns available in knitting. Then came the challenge at the local fair, in the spinning department. The challenge that year? Knit a toy, out of our hand spun yarn! So I designed a sweater, hat, mittens, scarf and bag for the 18" doll. I knit them in my hand-spun...and ended up winning the challenge. I had so much fun designing the set, that I had to make more. The rest as they say....is history!

Owner, Maker, Designer
I never played with dolls much when I was little. I dressed them, and drove them around in my cars and trucks. I guess you could say even then I was a budding designer. As I grew older, I enjoyed making the clothes even more. Today it just continues!
