My Beginnings ~ Pinkie Jane Designs
Although I've been crocheting for years, I didn't start out selling my designs as patterns until later. I first began selling the actual gloves. And before that, there were halters, hats, and sweaters. Even before that were sewn boutique little girls outfits.
I could actually go back further to my Ladybug Shoppe - with ladybugs painted on everything from glassware, dinnerware, curtains, bath sets, and shower curtains, drawer knobs, to Christmas ornaments, and rocks, an American Girl Clothing shop, and believe it or not, Rock Paintings of every kind of animal. As you can see, I've been around for awhile, starting out at flea markets, and craft shows, on eBay and ending up here on Etsy.
The evolution of Pinkie Jane Designs closely follows the events in my life. I've been married for 30 (31 in May 2013) years to my wonderful husband, Cir who has MS (or multiple sclerosis). While he was still working, we frequently went to flea markets and craft shows, selling the things I made, as well as gift items.
We continued going to craft shows for as long as he was able and when that got to be too difficult, we were fortunate to have a customer who suggested eBay. That was the beginning of our online selling adventure. Because so many of the items I sold were handmade, Etsy seemed a natural fit, so this has been my home ever since.
Etsy is a wonderful place, full of so many gifted and talented artists and crafters. It has been a perfect fit for me and although my sales aren't through the roof, I I am satisfied that I'm able to offer my designs to those who appreciate the value of handmade.
After finding, falling in love with, and eventually purchasing a Blythe doll, I also opened a doll clothing boutique - Pinku Jane Designs, which features crochet hats, accessories and outfits for all the little plastic girlies out there.
Etsy is a creative outlet for me where I can have fun designing and sharing all the things that I make. If I didn't sell them, we wouldn't have room for anything else in our humble abode. So I'm thankful in many ways for having a place like Etsy to come and meet others like myself - Creative Souls.
Welcome to Pinkie Jane Designs! I'm Akrista, the owner and designer of the crochet fingerless gloves you see here. I've been crocheting for years and love coming up with unique patterns just for you and your little ones!
All of the info from my Shop Announcements is now here. As always, thank you all so much for your continued support.
I won't be listing any Custom gloves because I am still dealing with wrist and arm problems. If you absolutely cannot live without a pair fingerless gloves (or two) made by me ;), email me and I will let you know if I can do them.
I am working on updating the eBook for the Adult patterns I have available. I will be adding another of the child's pattern in adult size, so there will eventually be 4. I have an idea for another adult pair, so hopefully the ebook will contain 5 patterns for all of you fashion forward adults. The price will also go up to reflect the change.
I still plan on adding some completed pairs for immediate purchase soon so keep checking back - once they're purchased they're gone - :)
Enjoy your week and don't forget to check back soon!
~ GIFT CERTIFICATES (ON HOLD)~
I will soon be adding a Gift Certificates for patterns. So if you have friends who crochet, buy them a Gift Certificate for the holidays!
Patterns will still be available and I will be adding more as well as selling ready made samples of new patterns as they are completed.
~ NEW WEBSITE (ON HOLD but still in the works!)~
I will be phasing out the custom-made gloves in my etsy shop and placing them on my soon to launch website. I will let everyone know when it's ready!
~ MY SINCERE THANKS ~

There are still a few of the ebooks that are not yet available for download, if you purchase one of these ebooks, I will email the patterns to you within 24-48 hrs. If you don't receive your patterns/ebook by then - please convo or contact me. I may have sent it and it may have ended up in your spam or bulk mail folder.
If you can't download or read the pattern in PDF format let me know. I can send it in RTF (rich text format) or something similar, let me know and I will convert the file for you.
Returns and exchanges
If a pattern/PDF file does not show up, first check your bulk/spam folder to see if it got filtered there. If it's not there, email me BEFORE leaving negative or neutral feedback and I will try resending it. If you need it in RTF format, let me know, also.
I enjoy convo-ing and emailing everyone who contacts me.
If you could please take the time to read my listings carefully, that would really be a big help. This should eliminate many of the problems that can come up.
Additional policies and FAQs
Alternatively, if you have the time to wait, you can find and purchase the yarn yourself and send it to me. Or we can work out a price to include in the custom amount so that I can purchase it.
Thank you again,
Enjoy your day!
